ASH Wednesday
“I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil. 1:6)."
14 What is the benefit, my fellow believers, if
someone claims to have faith but has no [good] works [as evidence]? Can that
[kind of] faith save him? [No, a mere claim of faith is not sufficient—genuine
faith produces good works.](James 2:14)
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent,
the season (40 days) of preparation as we remember the resurrection of Jesus
Christ on Easter. Some persons decide to
just concentrate on fasting from certain foods, electronics, TV programs, etc..., ALIVE In The Word challenge is
not to just “Fast”, but live in the fulfillment of Christ’s
ministry, death, resurrection, and what life lesson can be learned and applied
in our everyday life, and allow God to “fulfill” you. We pray that this Life Application Devotional
will do just that, to be “fulfilled” by God within these 40 days...Remain in
the Hands of God and watch God Work…
(What will you be “Praying” about and what
will you “Fast” from (Food (red and fried/pork meats, fast foods, sweets, pops,
TV/Facebook/Internet, etc…most important How will God “fulfill” you... and how
will God use you to be a
blessing…)
During these 40 Days we will allow God to
begin a Good Work starting on Ash Wednesday with Faith in action, Complete the
Work on Resurrection Sunday
Let's Start this week in repentance so that God can create and fulfill in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit as we operate in faith daily during this Lent.
Sentence
Prayer: God
I place myself into your hands so that you may fulfill me during this Lent Season
and beyond this Lent Season…
